“Your evolution is proceeding without flaw. Every experience that you have ever had has led you to where you now stand.”
~Alan Cohen
So live with no regrets, for everything that causes you to have regret has actually brought you to where you are now. There’s no need to mourn the past. Relish in past joys and be grateful for trials and tribulations. Our experiences – all of them, good and bad – make us who we are.
We are evolving with perfection. Not perfection as society defines it today; perfection as in how God presents it, as we are, as it is. Be satisfied with the way the Universe is unfolding for that is your personal evolution. It is all for our highest good. Or so I’m told…
I know that’s easier said than done. But if we can step back and look at the big picture, we might be able to breathe a sigh of relief and relax a bit. Evolve without flaw, my friends!
How does this quote hit YOU? Do you feel your evolution is proceeding without flaw?
“Evolve without flaw” – yes, I rather like that motto! Our journeys are unique and very precious, and we should embrace them as they unfold.
By the way, I nominated you for a Liebster Award, to say thanks for your support during the #AtoZChallenge 🙂 https://spookymrsgreen.com/2016/05/25/liebster-award-2016/

And indeed, our journeys are precious and unique. Very good way to put it.

Hi, dear Michele!
This is great advice and one of the key principles taught in the motivational seminar programs. People waste a tremendous amount of time wallowing in regret and recounting the lowlights of their lives to themselves and others. It doesn’t matter what has happened to you along the way. What matters, what makes all the difference, is how you responded, what you did about it, what you learned from those mistakes and personal disasters, that allowed you to arrive at where you are today. You are stronger and wiser. Be thankful.
Thank you and happy Wednesday, dear friend Michele!

Well said Shady! Well said! Wallowing is a hobby for some people, it seems. Such a waste of precious time.
I may get down sometimes with regrets but then I realize I wouldn’t be where I am today had I not gone through all the crap that I went through. And the What Ifs, as in What if I had done this instead of that, well, that’s just another waste of time. But I can still get caught up in those thoughts sometimes…
Thanks for coming by today Shady. Hope you’re having a good week so far. My mom had surgery today to get a new lead in her pacemaker. All went well, except the surgeon said that her atrium is pretty “beat up” due to surgery and heart damage. He had a hard time finding a place to receive the lead so we’re hoping this works…. She’s very down with everything she’s going through and having a really hard time staying positive. 😦
As always, Thanks for your good thoughts.

I showed your reply to Mrs. Shady and she said what matters here is that the surgeon succeeded in finding a place for the lead. You and your mother can now relax and take things one day at a time. Our thoughts are with you both, dear friend.

Thanks Michele, this is a great quote and something that is important to remember. It can be so easy to just focus on the bad things without seeing what may be really important lessons we’ve learned along the way. I am made up of all my past experiences and all the people I have met along the way.

So true. And when we start having those bad days where all the bad of our past comes rushing back, if we can just take a breath and remember this quote, those bad days can be kept at bay…
Thanks for stopping by today!

One of my favourite expressions is “Whatever doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.” 😉
We’re having a heatwave here! I love it, especially considering we had two snow storms last month.

Total waste of energy…and I don’t have enough energy as it is, to waste it regretting! Thanks for coming by Janie.

That’s one of those that I have to keep reminding myself of. It’s hard to do when you look around and see how you are “lacking” in what you think you should have.

I know Liz, it is hard to do. Especially when we compare ourselves to others who seem to have so much more than us, or seem to be so much farther ahead in life that we are. I fall victim to that comparison trap often and it sucks!
This is one of those quotes that I should read on a daily basis…

Love the quote. One of the things I am working on accepting in my life is the good and the bad and knowing that both make me who I am today!!

Yep, we are a product of all our experiences and if we hadn’t experienced the bad crap that happened to us, we wouldn’t be who we are today. By now we’re pretty darn strong, huh? 🙂

This quote is essentially my answer when I’m asked if I could go back and change anything that I’ve done what would it be. Well, nothing because where I have been has gotten me to where I am now and I’m fine thank you.
I wouldn’t say that my evolution has been flawless, but it is what it is.

“It is what it is” — that’s my favorite saying. Indeed. It is what it is and we have to accept it even though sometimes it’s hard to swallow.
So glad you are content where you are. That’s called easy livin’ — peaceful.
